Due to the rapid growth of our company and our diversification into mortgage services, insurance, relocation services, real estate school and commercial real estate sales, we were becoming inundated with paper.

We reached a point where we had used all of the space in our current file cabinets and were beginning to purchase cardboard boxes that ultimately did not meet our needs. We had full time assistants retrieving paper from cabinets and boxes and it was extremely inefficient as files were mixed and returned to the wrong storage space.
With docSTAR, our process has improved giving our employees time to concentrate on their most important task, collecting receivables. We no longer have to spend time and resources searching, copying and refilling documents.

Before going to docSTAR, files were process, boxed and transported to storage at the rate of nearly 2.5 million pages per year. When requests for documents were made, the file had to be retrieved from storage and couriered back to us at great time and expense. That's not the case any more. Now it's scanned immediately and we can locate and e-mail our replies in a matter of seconds. Obviously, this pleases our customers.
Also, our process improved further when we went to bar coding. Making that change basically cut our time in half. We no longer review the filing process and we have no filing errors.
